JLL has appointed Julian Whiston as Head of Hotels and Hospitality – Value and Risk Advisory for Australia and New Zealand, effective 25 November 2024.

Mr Whiston benefits from more than 30 years specialising in hotel and resort property valuations, transactional support, and investment consultancy services. During this period, he has undertaken assignments throughout Australia and the South Pacific as well as in Asia and Europe.

Colliers has announced the appointment of Iain Davidson as State Chief Executive of its ACT business.

Iain is a long-standing leader within the Colliers ACT business and has been responsible for the creation and growth of the Canberra Project Leaders business, working across both Government Property Services and Office Leasing service lines

WT has announced the appointment of two new Directors to the Board of WTP Australia (‘WT Australia Group’). WT Australia Group owns and controls WT operations in Australia, North America, India and the Middle East. 

Emma Zadow has been appointed Non-Executive Director, effective 14 November 2024, based in Sydney. Ms Zadow has previously held leadership roles at professional services firms in Australia and internationally.

James Osenton has been appointed Executive Director, based in Canberra. Mr Osenton joined WT as a Quantity Surveyor in 2002 and is currently National Director and lead of WT’s practice in the ACT.

BGIS has announced the appointment of Nick Riewoldt to the BGIS Advisory Board.

Nick is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club based in Melbourne, Australia.  Nick is an Australian Football League Champion, a five-time All-Australian, and holds many honours and athletic records.

In 2015, Nick co-founded, and currently serves as a director of, Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision, which is a registered charity that funds research that accelerates next generation prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes, while supporting patients and families. Nick is also the owner of a Body Fit Training business that uses science and technology to drive positive health outcomes.

Most recently, Nick has held leadership roles at PMY Group, a leading technology company that specialises in technology solutions to infrastructure, public venues, and major events and Nick is currently an AFL commentator and leadership consultant.

Knight Frank has bolstered its presence in Tasmania with two new teams in Asset Management Services (AMS).

These teams, located in Hobart and Launceston, will manage 10 shopping centres for Region Group.

Knight Frank’s new AMS team in Tasmania comprise:  

  • Harmonie Green – Centre Manager, Hobart, overseeing 7 shopping centres in the South of the state
  • Diana Mitchell – Centre Manager, Launceston, overseeing 3 shopping centres in the North of the state.
  • Christina Richards – Administration Manager, Launceston
  • Atul Trikha – Administration Manager, Hobart • Narah Hughes – Operations Coordinator, Hobart
  • Caine McLennan – Operations Manager, Launceston
  • Daniel Hochstadter – Regional Operations Manager, Tasmania
  • Anne Lacy – Marketing Manager, Tasmania
  • Joseph Galea – Regional Portfolio Manager, Victoria/Tasmania.
