Andrew Tull has been appointed as Regional Business Line Director of AECOM’s 700-strong Buildings + Places business line in Australia and New Zealand.

Andrew has been with AECOM for 24 years and has held the roles of Operations Director and Buildings + Places Group Director for Victoria and South Australia. 

Knight Frank has announced that Mark Lafferty is set to start at the firm next year as Partner, National Head of Investment Sales and Franchise Partnerships.

He moves to Knight Frank from CBRE Asia Pacific, where he has worked for 15 and a half years, most recently as Managing Director, Metropolitan Investments, a role covering CBRE’s Australian and New Zealand business. Mark will start with Knight Frank in February 2025, and will be based in the firm’s Melbourne office.

CBRE has announced the appointment of investment banker Hugh Macdonald as Head of Capital Advisors for Asia Pacific. Starting his role in Sydney, Macdonald will relocate to Singapore in the first quarter of 2025.

Macdonald joins CBRE from Deutsche Bank, where he was previously the Head of Investment Banking Coverage and Advisory for Australia and New Zealand.

Macdonald will report to Leo van den Thillart, Global Head of Investment Banking, and Greg Hyland, Head of Capital Markets, Asia Pacific.

Colliers has announced the appointment of Sharmini Wainwright as National Director of People & Performance for Australia. Sharmini will be based in Colliers’ Sydney CBD office.

She joins Colliers following 20+ years at Michael Page, where she was Co-Head of Australia & Senior Managing Director.

HIP V. HYPE has announced the appointment of Simon Blackwell as an Associate in its Better Cities & Regions team.

His most recent role was as Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) Planning Advisor for the Goulburn Murray Climate Alliance. Based in Perth, Simon’s appointment establishes HIP V. HYPE’s inaugural Western Australian outpost.

Region Group has announced the appointment of Jane Lloyd as a Non-Executive Director. Ms Lloyd has more than 30 years’ experience in Australian and international property markets across the commercial, retail, industrial and residential sectors.

Ingenia Communities Group has announced the appointment of Dr Jenny Fagg as an independent Non-Executive Director, effective 2 December 2024.

Her prior roles include CEO ANZ National Bank Limited (New Zealand), Managing Director of ANZ Consumer Finance, Chief Risk Officer of AMP Group and AMP Life and Executive Vice President of Retail Products and Payments at CIBC (Canada). Most recently she co-founded and was the CEO of 2Be Finance, a leading fintech providing digitised home equity loans for over 55s.
