Abacus Group has announced that Kevin George will be appointed to the newly created role of Group General Manager, Commercial and Fund Manager of Abacus.

Kevin’s most recent experience was at Dexus, where he held the position of Executive General Manager, Office where he was responsible for the performance of property, asset management and leasing across the Office portfolio.

Knight Frank has announced that Eliane Campbell has joined the firm in the role of Senior Consultant, based in Brisbane.

She holds previous roles as a senior consultant at Aurecon and Monitor Deloitte.

Savills is strengthening its asset management capabilities with the appointment of Daniel Shafferman National Director Industrial, Asset Management and Nick Hall, State Director – NSW, Asset Management. They start in the global agency’s Brisbane and Sydney offices respectively, in early September.

Daniel Shafferman moves from Colliers where he has spent the past 10 years, Nick Hall also joins from Colliers where he served as Director since 2008.

Retail specialist Mainbrace Constructions has undertaken some Board renewal with three new appointments.

Internally, Angus Greenwood and Dan Morelli have been elevated to Board Director positions, while lawyer and executive coach Claire Bibby has been recruited to the Board following stints with Brookfield Property Partners, Chancellor Institute and more.

Design practice Buchan has appointed Jake Martin and Jeames Hanley to its global team to support its sports sector and technical capability. Martin joins as a senior associate, whilst Hanley takes up the role of Digital Technology Lead.

Qualitas has announced the appointment of Darren Steinberg to the Board of Qualitas as an independent non-executive director. Mr Steinberg will join the Board Nomination, Remuneration and Culture Committee as well as the Investment Committee upon appointment.

Mr Steinberg has extensive experience in commercial property and funds management, most recently as the Chief Executive Officer of ASX-listed Dexus and an Executive Director of Dexus Funds Management.

Elanor Investors Group has advised that Victor Rodriguez has resigned as a Non-Executive Director of Elanor Investors Group and Elanor Commercial Property Fund, effective 3 September 2024.

Challenger Limited is entitled to nominate a representative for appointment to the Board, and it has nominated Stuart Terry as its replacement director. Mr Terry’s appointment is expected to be formally determined by the Board at an upcoming Board meeting.

Vicinity Centres has announced the nomination of Angus McNaughton for election to the Vicinity Board as a Non-executive Director and representative of The Gandel Group. Mr McNaughton will stand for election at the 2024 Annual General Meeting on 29 October.

Of note, between 2015 and 2017, Mr McNaughton served as CEO & Managing Director of Vicinity, where he oversaw the integration of Federation Centres and Novion Property Group following their merger. Prior to his role at Vicinity, Mr McNaughton was CEO & Managing Director of Novion Property Group.

Colliers has announced that Colliers Engineering & Design Australia has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Pritchard Francis Consulting, a Western Australian multi-discipline engineering consulting company.

Pritchard Francis’ senior leadership team will continue to lead the business in Western Australia and become significant shareholders in the Colliers Engineering platform. The business will rebrand as “Colliers Engineering & Design” and fully integrate into Colliers’ engineering operations.
