New eco community at Brisbane’s Ashford

  • August 04, 2020

Mirvac’s $81 million Ashford Residences community at Brisbane’s Everton Park brings together a one-hectare eco area with “fantastic amenity” says the developer’s head of residential Stuart Penklis.

  Why we love this project:

  • One-hectare eco area designed to enhance liveability and support local flora and fauna
  • First release of land lots already more than 50% sold
  • 122 construction jobs created during the project.

Civil contractor Pensar has been engaged to start work on the initial stages which will form part of the new Ashford Residences community.

On completion, the new community will feature 124 residences, including 43 freestanding homes and 80 three- and four-bedroom terrace homes, along with the newly restored heritage Queenslander, called Murphy’s Dairy Residence.

The first release of land lots is already more than 50 per cent sold and anticipated to be delivered late 2020 and early 2021.

Work has also commenced on the eco area, which will adjoin the existing Kedron Brook bikeway and waterway. Prior to commencement, the eco area was designed with lush planting and landscaping to appeal to residents and support local flora and fauna.

Ashford Residences is Mirvac’s second residential project in Brisbane this year. The $77 million Tulloch House apartments are being developed alongside Eagle Farm in Ascot.

Mirvac’s head of residential Stuart Penklis says the Everton Park project will create 122 construction jobs and deliver quality new housing in a sought-after area.

Penklis says buyers – which included young professionals, families and downsizers – were drawn to the “fantastic amenity” and in the local area.050820 - Project of the Week - Ashford Residences 1

“The new dining laneway Park Lane at Everton Plaza, local Woolworths and Coles supermarkets, schools and childcare facilities are all adding to the appeal and convenience for buyers, who love the connected location close to Enoggera train station, bus stops and the airport link.”

“We feel privileged to have the opportunity to create a community adjoining the Kedron Brook, renowned for its abundant creek-side parks, picnic spots, bike paths and dog-friendly areas,” he adds.

Buyers at Ashford Residences can choose from freehold lots or those that are part of the body corporate, providing exclusive access to the Ashford Residences Club resort style facilities.

The Club features a pool with splash area for children, lounge chairs for relaxation, a gymnasium, a teppanyaki grill, fire pit and barbecue to entertain family and friends, alongside seating areas and a large turfed area.

“Work on Ashford Residences will provide a significant boost for the local construction industry and a new choice for those wanting to build a home within seven kilometres of the Brisbane CBD,” Penklis concludes.
