What I love most about my job…

The fast pace and highly experienced team I can learn a lot from.

How my work has changed since Covid-19…

I started this job the same week the restrictions came in place! It has been an interesting challenge working on a complex project in a new role, all remotely.

How I’m adapting to the “new normal”…

We have a lot of consultants working internationally so we are all getting very good at Zoom meetings.

My new workday essentials are…

Fluffy slippers, trackpants and Zoom!

The innovative technology or idea I’ve embraced is…

A digital site calendar in Outlook to keep track of all the site movements without physically being there and attempting to use the full functionality of Office 365.

My advice to others looking to implement this…

I feel like we only use a fraction of the full capability of computer programs and I have learnt a lot just googling and watching YouTube videos.

My most valuable skill in challenging times…

Resilience and grit are useful skills at the moment – and I am testing both!

My biggest inspiration…

My mum – she’s amazing.

One way I’ll work differently on the other side of this crisis…

Using video conference instead of wasting time walking or driving to meetings. Some need to be done in person, but there are plenty that can be done online.

What I’ve learned so far from 2020…

Be ready to pivot your business creatively and have business continuity plans. Oh, and always have two months of toilet paper in your house!
