What I love most about my job… |
The fast pace and highly experienced team I can learn a lot from. |
How my work has changed since Covid-19… |
I started this job the same week the restrictions came in place! It has been an interesting challenge working on a complex project in a new role, all remotely. |
How I’m adapting to the “new normal”… |
We have a lot of consultants working internationally so we are all getting very good at Zoom meetings. |
My new workday essentials are… |
Fluffy slippers, trackpants and Zoom! |
The innovative technology or idea I’ve embraced is… |
A digital site calendar in Outlook to keep track of all the site movements without physically being there and attempting to use the full functionality of Office 365. |
My advice to others looking to implement this… |
I feel like we only use a fraction of the full capability of computer programs and I have learnt a lot just googling and watching YouTube videos. |
My most valuable skill in challenging times… |
Resilience and grit are useful skills at the moment – and I am testing both! |
My biggest inspiration… |
My mum – she’s amazing. |
One way I’ll work differently on the other side of this crisis… |
Using video conference instead of wasting time walking or driving to meetings. Some need to be done in person, but there are plenty that can be done online. |
What I’ve learned so far from 2020… |
Be ready to pivot your business creatively and have business continuity plans. Oh, and always have two months of toilet paper in your house! |
