In a move realising their vision of a national Australian partner, urban planning firms Ethos Urban and Future Urban have announce a strategic alliance.
Ethos Urban, with offices along the eastern seaboard, joins forces with Future Urban, known for its presence in Adelaide, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
Ethos Urban CEO Mark Stefanac emphasised the strategic value of the alliance.
“This alliance aligns perfectly with our vision of becoming a national partner of choice for our clients. It enables us to deliver a local presence and even more comprehensive solutions that leverage our combined reach, network and expertise across Australia.”
Mr Stefanac said the partnership will mean experiences from the Eastern Seaboard will benefit clients in the new jurisdictions.
“No one likes to sit in Adelaide or Perth and be told from the Eastern Seaboard this is what you need to do.
“So instead of being told what to do from people from Sydney, I say, ‘what’s the mistake that they made and don’t replicate it, but this bit landed really well, now does this work for you in your region?'”
Future Urban Managing Director, Chris Vounasis, highlighted the expanded service offerings.
“It’s a powerful combination, offering seamless and trusted advice with exceptional reach.”
Mr Vounasis said the alliance will also help firms looking to invest in South Australia.
“The scale of projects that have occurred on the Eastern Seaboard we’re about to see some of those happen now in SA.
“We’re getting a lot of interest from those big players in Victoria and New South Wales as they believe that it’s a lot more affordable to do development here.”
The alliance unlocks a broader range of services and expertise for both firms. Future Urban clients gain access to specialised skills, while Ethos Urban benefits from Future Urban’s established presence in those regions.
“This is a natural fit and a significant step forward for both companies,” says Mark Stefanac and Chris Vounasis in a joint statement. “By fostering collaboration, we can unlock a new era of innovative and sustainable urban planning across Australia.”
