As a new season brings change, so does a new government.

The major parties have minted new leaders and announced new cabinets. The Property Council welcomes and looks forward to working with the Albanese Government, the Dutton Opposition and all of our Parliamentarians.

The finalisation of the nation’s political line-ups coincided with our Property Leaders’ Summit in Canberra this week, connecting key property leaders with Australia’s political decision makers.

The event provided the opportunity to engage with three of the Government’s new ministers: Housing Minister Julie Collins, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Catherine King and Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories Kirsty McBain. We appreciate this early commitment to engaging with the industry for ministers just six days into their roles.

The Summit also culminated with the announcement of two new inductees into the Australian Property Hall of Fame: Jim Service AO and Dr Seek Ngee Huat.

Congratulations to both leaders on their induction on behalf of everyone at the Property Council. It was a moving ceremony and an honour to celebrate their incredible legacies last night.
