Having 2,500 individual Committee members from 2,500 member organisations driving strong advocacy is a privilege few industry bodies could imagine.
A joy then to spend time at events up and down the east coast this past week – Wollongong, Sydney, Hobart – reflecting on the power of that member commitment and expertise.
These events, like all our events, power our advocacy to all three levels of government.
70 cents in every dollar you spend on a Property Council event goes to championing better planned and more investable cities.
Property Champions of Change
Powerful too to be part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign as buildings across Australia light up bright orange – a symbol of our collective commitment to ending gender-based violence.
This week, in partnership with Champions of Change Coalition, we hosted several thousand people online at our tools down event that addressed domestic and family violence, with insights from Karen Bevan, Belinda Casselden, Campbell Hanan and Kylie O’Connor.
Thanks to Elizabeth Broderick for moderating a conversation that shows the importance of us all equipping ourselves to help and support people in our workplaces who are experiencing domestic and family violence. And remember, your donation can make a difference: championsofchange.fullstop.org.au
Boost yourself with our mentoring program
Get involved! Our Mentoring Program for both mentees and mentors is starting in early 2025.
I’ve been lucky to have mentors guide me throughout my career, and they still do. Support me, challenge me, grow me. The value of ongoing mentorship cannot be overstated.
The program connects experienced professionals with emerging leaders to offer guidance, support growth and share knowledge through exclusive workshops, events and resources.
If you are looking for a carefully selected mentor with property industry knowledge or if you want to give back, our Mentoring Program is the perfect opportunity.
