On the much more pressing news of our new Prime Minister and his declaration that economic leadership is central to the needs of the nation, the Property Council wholeheartedly agrees.
Growing the economy and creating jobs must be at the heart of the Turnbull Government’s agenda.
Mr Abbott put Australia on the path to wide-ranging tax reform – an exercise long-overdue and vitally important to Australian living standards. This process must continue.
Malcolm Turnbull is set to be our most urbanist Prime Minister. He has a keen understanding of the productivity challenges of our cities and the need to manage growth in smart and sustainable ways.
We have worked closely with Mr Turnbull over many years, including during his time as Communications Minister and we look forward to continuing this relationship.
