Overview
This interactive course teaches learners the skills they need to establish whether a development will be successful and deliver desired returns. It also gives participants the skills to pitch a proposal for a development approval, and an understanding of the end-to-end development process.
With industry experts delivering the course and helping participants workshop mock developments, the practical learning approach ensures learners leave with relevant skills they can immediately apply to real projects. Covering risk, marketing, planning and feasibility, the course also introduces the politics of property development and skills to navigate the stakeholder environment.
Property Development Advanced can be taken as a standalone course or as part of the Property Development Industry Diploma.
Format
This course is delivered as a three-day series of face-to-face classroom sessions. Learners can ask questions, build their network and problem-solve with industry peers.

- How to identify, measure and price development risk when considering opportunities, including as it relates to land, authorities, other stakeholders and the politics of development
- The process for design, leasing, sales and marketing, construction, legal, finance and investment, and market timing
- Via case study work, experience how a major development project is conceived and planned
- How to prepare and deliver your case study development proposal for approval.
