Overview
This two-day course is designed to help improve leadership across the retirement living sector by upskilling people working in senior industry roles. It provides participants with knowledge and practical skills to best lead their teams and manage villages, functions or business units.
Delivered by industry experts, the program comprises interactive workshop sessions with supporting activities and covers: relevant policy and legislative requirements; how to be an effective people leader; how to build trust and capability across your team; and creating a positive culture.
This course forms an elective part of the Village Management Industry Diploma.

This two-day course is delivered virtually. Attendees can ask questions, build their network and problem-solve with industry peers.

- How to be an effective leader: your journey, understanding the bigger picture, identifying opportunities for improvement and managing priorities

- How to create a positive culture to improve performance, motivate and empower individuals, give and receive feedback, hold difficult conversations
- Techniques to host positive and productive meetings with your team members and residents.
