The Power of People
After the success of our inaugural People in Property Awards in NSW in 2023, we once again invite you to join us in shining a spotlight on the exceptionally talented individuals in our industry.
Every day our members contribute to the creation of the incredible buildings, spaces, and places in our cities and regions. It is important, city-building work.
But these projects don’t come to life without the people behind them – people who design, develop and manage them.
So while it’s important to recognise great projects, this is all about recognising the individuals and teams who make them possible.
Winners will be announced at our NSW Gala Ball and Awards Night at Royal Randwick Racecourse Thursday 16 May 2024.
Our Categories
For individuals new to the industry who demonstrate an aptitude and desire to develop their property career with forward-thinking efforts, bringing new ideas or practices that makes the industry better, and have already made a mark in their organisation and industry.
For individuals who have implemented and delivered outstanding initiatives that benefit the people within their organisation, from strategic leadership development, to committed workplace health and wellbeing, and effective policy and practice that embrace diversity and inclusion and more.
For individuals finding and delivering creative solutions to business challenges and showing operational excellence and innovative spirit that may not otherwise be recognised, including managing transformation, change or challenge within their organisation and/or positively impacting the wider industry.
For individuals who contribute significantly and consistently to the property industry beyond their own organisation, over an extended period of time, and for the purpose of advancing the industry and its people through knowledge sharing, advocacy and/or leadership.
For teams who deliver consistently high levels of service to internal or external stakeholders and demonstrate excellent collaboration in the creative and effective ways they undertake their responsibilities. This can by via regional project, initiative, service or knowledge.
For a respected individual who has embodied the vision of the Property Council to support prosperity, jobs and strong communities.

FAQs
Yes. If your company is not currently a Property Council of Australia member, contact the national membership team at [email protected] for more information on membership rates and benefits.
The nomination form must be completed by the due date via the online portal. We encourage all nominations, including self-nomination. The judges will assess all nominations based on the written responses in the nomination form against the individual award criteria.
The criteria are weighted to give entrants an understanding of what the judges will be focusing on. This weighting is also reflected in the judging score sheets.
All judges are highly experienced and respected professionals from various sectors of the property industry. The decision of the judging panel is final and no communication will be entered into concerning the final decision.
All nominations must be submitted through the online nomination portal, nominations will not be accepted via email entry.
All nominations will go through a strict judging process prior to finalists and winners being selected. If sufficient applications are not received for an award category, the Property Council reserves the right not to proceed to awarding a winner.
