Young People Achieving Excellence in PropertyJill Fraser has been named the Stan Perron Young Achiever of the Year and Jemma Douglas has been named the Stan Perron Lighthouse Award Winner at the Property Council of Australia’s Future Directions Young Achiever Awards.Property Council Executive Director Joe Lenzo said the aim of the Future Directions Young Achiever Awards is to recognise individual excellence and contribution to the property industry in Western Australia.”The contribution provided by the winners to the community and the excellence they have demonstrated in the industry, is a clear sign of the extraordinary individuals involved in the property sector,” said Mr Lenzo.”Celebrating the achievements of young professionals is invaluable for an industry like property that depends on fresh ideas, new perspectives and innovative thinking.”The Stan Perron Lighthouse Award was open to young property professionals aged 25 or under. The Stan Perron Young Achiever of the Year Award was open to young property professionals aged between 26 and 35. The focus of the awards is on the individual’s role and quality of involvement in the workplace and industry, rather than the size, value or importance of any particular project.Jill Fraser, winner of the Stan Perron Young Achiever of the Year Award, is Senior Project Manager at APP Corporation. Her current work is focused on the Perth Airport ‘T1 Departures Expansion and Domestic Pier’ project, while previously she was project manager for the Bankwest tower base build refurbishment.Jemma Douglas, winner of the Stan Perron Lighthouse Award, is currently Acting Senior Planning Officer at the City of Belmont. She was involved in the inception phase of Gateway WA and was responsible for the development applications lodged within the Kewdale Freight Terminal, all while undertaking her Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning at Curtin University.The Future Directions Young Achievers Awards were held at Linton & Kay Galleries, 137 St Georges Terrace and were sponsored by Blackburne Property Group, SGA Property Consultancy, Hames Sharley, Hays and Cleaning 2000.
