Women in Property

 The Property Council recently sat down with Wendy Longuet, Business Development Manager at Knight Frank.

Wendy has an extensive property background in the private sector, working in real estate in Darwin for the past 15 years in a number of different roles.

 “Our philosophy has always been to manage good quality properties that ensure the     portfolio can sustain low vacancy rates, good rental growth for our owners and arrears that are easily managed”.  This is the philosophy that Wendy, in her role at Knight Frank as Business Development Manager, will uphold.

Wendy joined Knight Frank as a Senior Residential Property Manager in 2009 and was   given the responsibility of establishing the new department for Knight Frank.  Wendy was integral in securing new managements in the Darwin City Waterfront project, with the completion of the Wharf 1 Apartments and now Wharf Two.  Knight Frank now manages in excess of 140 apartments in Wharf 1 & 2 and it is fair to say that Knight Frank is a Darwin Waterfront expert.

Wendy established all of the systems, programmes and procedures for this department drawing on her previous experience in the industry. Wendy grew the department from zero to in excess of 300 managements which was an incredible feat and a career highlight.  With the growth and the extension of the Department, she now runs a team of four.
