Women in Property Mentoring Launched in WA
The Property Council has launched Western Australia’s inaugural Women in Property mentoring program.
The program has welcomed fifteen mentors and mentees from WA’s property sector to embark on the 5 month program coordinated by leadership consultants Serendis. This program has been successfully piloted by the Property Council in NSW over the last two years.
The program focuses on women who are aspiring to senior leadership positions in the property sector and matches them with senior leaders within the industry. This program differentiates itself from other mentoring experiences through experiential, interactive workshops with mentees, facilitated group discussions with mentors and a rigorous matching process. The structured program helps mentees address their personal and professional challenges, but also help raise the mentors’ awareness on how they, as leaders of this industry, need to help change the culture.
The first year’s WA mentees are:
- Amy McHugh- BankWest
- Carissa Kanakis- Psaros
- Danielle Davison- Australand
