Wollongong – City on the MoveThe Property Council of Australia’s Illawarra Chapter is promoting a Wollongong pride campaign, encouraging property and business owners to participate in the rejuvenation of the city centre with their own investment, be it a property or business. In the final months of this year, Wollongong will see the completion of two long-term projects, the $20 million Wollongong City Council Crown St Mall redevelopment and the $200 million GPT Group’s Wollongong Central shopping centre expansion, which will bring new life to the CBD.These projects have contributed to an unprecedented investment in the city, with almost $1 billion in new retail, residential, commercial and public domain spaces – all steering the city towards a new era which will bring more workers, residents and visitors to Wollongong. The Property Council will seek to highlight the returns from asset investment through targeted meetings with property owners, media coverage and events – encouraging participation in incentive programs to create more positive stories from the reconstruction. For more information email the Property Council’s Regional Director (Illawarra) Amanda Kunkler.
