Winter activation – Adelaide Riverbank 

Renewal SA is seeking expressions of interests from local creatives and tourism and event operators to curate and deliver a Northern hemisphere festive inspired Winter Village at the Adelaide Riverbank this July.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) follows the huge success of Renewal SA’s recent winter activations in 2015 and 2016 which attracted more than 165,000 people to revel in the memorable winter adventures at the Adelaide Riverbank.

Operators are encouraged to submit creative and innovative ideas for this year’s Winter Village which will inspire locals and visitors alike to embrace and celebrate winter in the city.

The successful proponent will deliver a world-class winter destination complete with warming food stalls serving winter delicacies and après ski inspired bars pouring steaming gluwein and hot chocolate.

A Christmas styled marketplace showcasing locally made arts and crafts will compliment a program of live shows and performances offering fun activities for the young and old at heart.

The Winter Village will operate during the school holidays from Thursday 6 July to Sunday 23 July, 2017.

The Riverbank Authority, through Renewal SA, will work closely with the preferred proponent and will again deliver the outdoor ice-rink at the heart of the Winter Village.
