Western Sydney Aerotropolis LUIIP
Last month, the NSW Government released its draft Western Sydney Land Use and Infrastructure Implementation Plan (LUIIP) to guide the development of land around the future of Western Sydney Airport. This is the first stage of the planning process for the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and establishes a new authority to oversee development of the area.
The LUUIP represents an important milestone in the delivery of the Aerotropolis as it set outs the vision for the growth area. It also provides an initial structure plan which supports this, and indications as to how and when it will be achieved. The statutory pathway which will be used for approvals is also outlined, and the responsible bodies for development in the precinct are identified.
Precinct Plans will be progressively rolled out through each of the nine nominated precincts which include:
- Aerotropolis Core
- Northern Gateway
- South Creek
- North Luddenham
- Rossmore
- Mamre Road
- Kemps Creek
- Badgerys Creek
- Agriculture and Agribusiness Precinct.
The Property Council will be making a submission on the Stage One Plan which is on exhibition until 12 October 2018.
