Western Corridor Lunch: A Sporting Chance

The Brisbane Lions AFL Women’s team’s new home at Greater Springfield was the topic of conversation at the Property Council’s Western Corridor Lunch: A Sporting Chance.

A crowd of more than 100 people who attended the event heard from Jake Anson – General Manager – Infrastructure, Strategy and Government Relations, Brisbane Lions, about the new 10,000 seat stadium and state-of-the-art administration and training facilities to be delivered in Springfield by 2021.

Following Jake’s presentation, he was joined on stage by Breeanna Brock – Women’s CEO, Brisbane Lions and Dean Patterson – State Community Partnership Manager, Lendlease, for a panel discussion moderated by Nathan Percy – Senior Policy Advisor, Property Council of Australia.

The ensuing conversation covered the benefits and opportunities that will be created through the development of the precinct, the partnerships being forged with the local community groups and schools, and Lendlease’s development of the Southern Sporting Fields in Greater Springfield.

The Property Council would like to thank the speakers for sharing their insights and passion for the project.  Thanks also goes to the sponsor of the event, Springfield City Group.
