Waterfront Master Plan Feedback
The Property Council has provided feedback to inform the development of Brisbane City Council’s master plan for the City Reach Waterfront.
Brisbane City Council is collecting suggestions for the area, which encompasses more than 1.2 kilometres of river frontage, 1.5 hectares of open space and more than 30 dining destinations.
The Property Council’s submission advocates for a unified vision for development, by extending the master plan to include the city botanical gardens, a vital active transport link and one of the city’s most important green spaces.
Additionally, the Riverstage – located within the gardens – and the Kangaroo Point to City Reach green bridge should be included within the master plan to improve connectivity across the river.
The Property Council submission also highlighted the benefits of joint funding and governance opportunities, which should be used as an investment incentive.
The master plan is due to be completed in early 2019.
