Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards Scheme survey

Building industry representatives are being encouraged to take part in a short survey to help inform efforts to increase compliance with the Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) Scheme.

The WELS Scheme helps to promote water efficient appliances, fixtures and fittings by specifying and enforcing standards and labelling.

To gain a better understanding of current awareness within the building industry of WELS compliance obligations, the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation wants to hear from builders, developers, plumbers and other industry personnel.

Increasing industry compliance with WELS is one of many actions of the wider Waterwise Perth Action Plan which sets the direction to transition Perth to become a leading waterwise city by 2030.
