A surprise speaker on the panel was Chairman of Walker Corporation, Mr Lang Walker.Walker Corporation has secured the $1.2 billion tender for the re-development of the largest stages of Parramatta Square – stage two which includes the development of the Aspire residential tower, and stages five and six which are twin commercial towers. Work is to commence this September and the three projects are expected to be completed by 2019.The Aspire residential tower is set to be Sydney’s highest residential tower and Walker Corporation is negotiating with the Federal Civil Aviation Safety Authority for it to reach a potential 90 stories. With a 200,000 strong job deficit in Sydney’s west the $8 billion being invested into Parramatta’s buildings and infrastructure over the next 4 years will help to stop the flow of people travelling from west to east on a daily basis.
