WA State Election Digest: November 25, 2016

The Property Council’s State election campaign is in full swing and gaining attention from politicians and the media.

Following the release of the WA State Election platform, Executive director Lino Iacomella is scheduled to meet with all the major parties to discuss the recommendations outlined in the 2017 election platform.

The first of the meetings was held with the Nationals’ Colin Holt. From the meeting, it was clear that the party is interested in a single growth initiative and we suggested the most effective would be a housing stimulus such as our policy on off-the-plan stamp duty relief.

Subsequent meeting with various ministers and shadow ministers from the Labor and Liberal parties are scheduled for coming weeks.

The Property Council also released several press statements on our key advocacy issues.
