WA Designs Unveiled at Elizabeth Quay

Designs have been unveiled for Elizabeth Quay’s next premier hotel, residential and commercial buildings as Planning Minister Donna Faragher confirmed the sale of two lots on the western promenade.

Australia’s only high-rise public art museum and viewing area, with expansive views across Perth and out to Rottnest Island, is among the unique elements of  the proposed EQ West project.

At the unveiling, Minister Faragher was joined by developers CA & Associates and architect Kerry Hill with his winning design for two towers comprising 300 residential and 170 short-stay apartments, a hotel and a range of dining and retail options.

Two major buildings and a substantial all weather public plaza will be developed on the western area of Elizabeth Quay, currently known as Sites 2 and 3.

A 180 metre building comprising residential apartments and topped by the art museum and viewing area will occupy the site closest to the river, while the adjoining site will be home to an 88.5 metre building featuring a hotel and serviced apartments. A large undercover area that will be available all year round for arts, cultural and entertainment events will connect the two buildings and create a substantial sheltered gateway through the western side of Elizabeth Quay.

A range of restaurants and bars, alfresco dining, health and fitness centres, plus retail outlets will complete the development and bring vibrancy, excitement and activity to Elizabeth Quay.

The project has an estimated construction value of $300million.
