Voters demanding energy efficiency action
Ground breaking, new research shows 90% of voters want governments to do more to support energy efficiency.
The YouGov Galaxy Survey, commissioned by the Property Council, Australian Council of Social Service and the Energy Efficiency Council, discovered Australians think Governments should be helping to cut energy bills for households and small businesses.
The survey also supported a wide range of energy specific topics. 92% of participants wanted energy efficiency upgrades in public buildings, such as hospitals and schools, while 79% reinforced incentives to upgrade commercial buildings.
The Property Council’s Queensland Energy Outlook Breakfast, to be held on 24 April 2018, will tackle the complexities associated with high energy prices and examine the proposed policy responses. A panel of industry and regulatory exports will analyse the energy landscape, the impact of the National Energy Guarantee and the current energy challenges facing the property industry in Queensland.
