Victoria’s Retirement Housing InquiryEarlier this month the Property Council represented Victorian retirement living members at the Parliamentary Inquiry into the Retirement Housing Sector. Representatives from the membership and staff attended and spoke to the Members of the Standing Committee on Legal and Social Issues. The Inquiry examined key industry issues including contract standardisation, council rating policy, resident satisfaction levels, complaint procedures and the creation of an industry Ombudsman / Advocate / Retirement Living Minister.
