Universal Housing Design incentive extended
The Universal Housing Design incentive was introduced in June 2019 to encourage new residential developments to design for the accessibility needs of all residents including people who are ageing, living with a disability, or are injured, and families with young children.
Brisbane City Council endorsed the extension of the incentive policy on 31 August 2021. The extension provides a payment equivalent to 33% of the Council infrastructure charges paid for eligible developments until 30 June 2024, with applications open until 1 October 2024.
