Unitywater’s draft Water Netserv Plan

The Property Council has provided a submission on Unitywater’s draft Water Netserv Plan.

Key concerns relate to the network planning and future connections, as they do not appear to reflect the extent or timing of the planning assumptions contained in the draft plan.

The submission also raises concerns that parts of the draft plan do not meet the legislative requirements for preparing a Netserv Plan.  Furthermore, the Schedule of Works mapping is difficult to read and interpret, making it difficult to properly review.
Based on these fundamental concerns the Property Council has recommended the draft plan be reviewed, corrected and readvertised for public consultation.  

As part of the review the Property Council has also recommended that Unitywater engage a third party to carry out a review of the draft plan.  This recommendation aligns with what is required of local government when they prepare Local Government Infrastructure Plans.
