Understanding Contemporary Property Rights

The Property Council of Australia (PCA) and The Australian Property Institute (API) are holding a 4 o’clock Forum on the 11th August to hear Professor John Sheehan speak on the “Termination of Unit Title Schemes” and effects of Strata Renewal.

The event will be an opportunity for Profession Sheehan (Lawyer, Planner  and Valuer) to highlight;

  • NSW proposal for 70% voting termination threshold
  • Implications for the Northern Territory
  • How schemes will be terminated
  • How lot owner(s) who do not want to sell will be compensated
  • Expected resulting changes to established urban areas of sites previously impossible to redevelop and hence increased density opportunities.
  • Greenfields and infill development
