Townsville Lunch: Beyond the Stadium

The Property Council’s final Townsville 2018 event focused on the activation strategy and flow-on economic benefits of the North Queensland Stadium.

Martin Unicomb, Manager Commercial – Stadiums Queensland, provided the keynote presentation, overviewing the delivery of the project to date, the features and uses of the stadium, along with discussing what will underpin the activation strategy and opening event.

Following Martin’s presentation, he was joined on stage by Michael Graham, Managing Director – Focus Pacific, Jeff Reibel, Acting CEO – North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, and Debbie Rains, Owner – Travel Associates NQ, for a panel discussion facilitated by Stephen Motti, Senior Principal – Brazier Motti and Chair of the Property Council’s Townsville Chapter.

During the discussion, speakers overviewed the projects that are proposed in the stadium precinct, including the Hilton Hotel and North Queensland Toyota Cowboys High Performance Centre.  Speakers also discussed the flow-on benefits from the delivery of the stadium, along with the transformation of the CBD.
