Townsville FD Event

The first Townsville Future Directions networking event ‘Talking Property in Townsville’ was a monumental success, providing both an update on the state of the market, and informing young property professionals on the benefits that can be gained through involvement with industry bodies. 

On Thursday 31 May at Shaw & Co, attendees heard from Tomas Lancini, Group Development Manager of Lancini Property and Development; Guy Gibson, General Manager Communities Queensland for Lendlease; and Yael Relf, Acting Senior Planning Officer of Townsville City Council. 

Guy gave a fantastic overview of current market conditions locally, state-wide and internationally.

Guy has been involved with the Property Council for many years and provided great insights into the value of being associated with industry bodies and committees, such as the Property Council’s Future Directions committee. 

Established in 1996, the Future Directions committee is a Property Council initiative to help champion young professionals in the industry.

The committee dedicates time to monthly meetings to stay informed on the latest advocacy announcements, discuss new initiatives and projects, and network with likeminded industry professionals.

The next event is the Future Directions: EOFY Network-A-Bration on the 20 June 2018. Celebrating the end of the financial year, the relaxed, networking style allows attendees to pry themselves away from the spreadsheets and build their connections.
