Townsville 2020

Townsville City Council has announced it is progressing a number of projects through its CBD master plan branded Townsville 2020 – A Clear Vision for our City.

The projects are recommendations contained in the review of the CBD master plan, endorsed by Council mid-way through the year.

Pure Projects- commissioned to carry out the review- has been appointed to the role of City Placemaker/Masterplanner, having the responsibility of ensuring new development aligns with the Townsville 2020 vision.

Projects that are being progressed include new entry statements, and an activation strategy for Castle Hill.
