Tour de PIF cycling for youths

The Property Industry Foundation’s (PIF) annual cycling challenge, the Tour de PIF, will be held in Sydney on Sunday 14 September, marking its fifth year.

Last year the fundraiser for disadvantaged youths collected more than $200,000, which went towards helping at-risk and homeless young people. Organisers expect a similar outcome this year, anticipating that 300 cyclists will ride on the day to raise money and awareness. So far, the event has attracted more than 60 registrations.

Teams and individuals participate in the cycling challenge, with all proceeds raised going towards the PIF House Program, which takes young homeless people off the streets and aims to get them back into society.

The cycling challenge accommodates all skill levels, offering two courses to choose from: a 62 km ride or a 116 km ride, both of which start from Bobbin Head. It also awards the top fundraisers with coloured jerseys in recognition of their fundraising efforts.

The event concludes with refreshments and a gourmet barbecue lunch.

The GPT Group is the major sponsor of the Tour de PIF, with supporting sponsorship from KPMG, Holding Redlich, Taylor and HDR Rice Daubney.
