Tim Anderson QC appojnted Chairperson of the South Australian Planning Commission

Tim Anderson QC appointed Chairperson of the South Australian Planning CommissionFormer Supreme Court Justice Mr Tim Anderson QC has been appointed as Chairperson of the inaugural South Australian Planning Commission. Mr Anderson will play a key role in selecting the remaining members of the Commission, which will commence its formal functions under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 in the first half of 2017. At the heart of South Australia’s new planning system is the South Australian Planning Commission, which will be the State’s principal assessment and advisory body responsible for implementation of the bulk of the reforms under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016. To support a smooth transition to the new system, the Chair has been appointed prior to proclamation of the Act, to enable the Chair to play a role in appointing the remaining Commission members and to assist in establishing the new governance frameworks.
