The New Age of Working
The Property Council’s Future Directions: New Age of Working event took place on Thursday 31 May.
The breakfast was held onsite at the new Hub Australia premises at 200 Adelaide Street, just days before they begin fit out work of their new venue.
Mel Pikos, Associate Director of CBRE and member of the Future Directions Committee, provided a fantastic welcome address and introduction to the morning’s session.
John Preece, Chief Property Officer of Hub Australia, provided a keynote address on the rise of co-working in Australia, along with Hub Australia’s development and expansion plans.
Following his presentation, Ally McDade, Associate Director of CBRE; and Gareth Cochrane, Asset Manager of Charter Hall joined John and Mel for a panel discussion on co-working spaces in Brisbane, along with their future predictions of movements within Brisbane’s office market.
The Property Council’s Future Directions committee promotes emerging leaders within the property industry. The group provides a platform for young professionals to network with like-minded peers, meet new people in the industry and develop skills in an open and positive environment.
The Property Council would like to thank Mel, John, Ally and Gareth for speaking at the event; Charter Hall and Hub Australia for allowing us to use the raw and exciting, new space; our Principal Sponsor, Savills Project Management and Cedar Woods our Supporting Sponsor.
