The Property Council’s second annual Olympic event brought together the three tiers of Government to discuss their vision for Queensland’s Olympic opportunity.

A room filled to the brim with attendees, decision-makers, athletes, para-athletes, and of course a healthy dose of excitement was the embodiment of the excitement that an event like the Olympics brings to town.

Attendees were treated to a star-studded line-up and we would like to thank:

  • The Master of Ceremonies, Brooke Hanson OAM OLY,
  • The Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland and Minister for the Olympics,
  • The Honourable Anika Wells MP, Minister for Aged Care and Minister for Sport,
  • Councillor Adrian Schrinner, Lord Mayor of Brisbane,
  • Ian Chesterman AM, President of the Australian Olympic Committee,
  • Justin Davies, Director of Operations, Development, Lendlease
  • Brad Hore OLY, Australian Indigenous Olympian and Artist,
  • Tom King OAM OLY, Australian two-time Olympian,
  • Taymon Kenton-Smith PLY, Australian Paralympian,
  • Torita Blake PLY, Two-time Australian Paralympian, and
  • Jake Morris, Australian Junior Athlete.

The lunch kickstarted Queensland’s Golden Decade.

As Justin Davies put so eloquently in his speech “We are afforded the opportunity to address major city shaping transformation, that tackles affordable housing challenges and identifies the opportunities for urbanisation that aligns with the investment in infrastructure needed for 2031.”

Thank you to our Major Sponsor the Brisbane Airport Corporation for your highly appreciated support, and to ASM Global and Lendlease for your added contribution in sponsoring this fantastic event.
