The Fort Site Tour

Over industry members attended the Property Council’s Industry site tour of The Fort, held on Tuesday 21 May.

The new entertainment and event venue will open its doors in July, and already has a list of talented musicians ready to take the stage.

Attendees of the site tour were able to view an exclusive Queensland Breakfast: The Metro Opportunityxclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the venue, while it was under construction.

Penny Hoolihan, Investment Manager for Hutchinson Builders, provided an overview of the development process and the venue’s design choices. The ground floor operates as a restaurant and bar, with a brass feature bar that wraps around the entrance. Double doors open to the stage area with a large music hall and mezzanine level. 

The hall operates as three venues with a maximum capacity of 3300. The main room holds 20, while the smaller room has a capacity of 4.

John Collins, former Powderfinger bassist and co-owner, explained the venue has been designed with the capability of remaining open 7-days a week, catering as a restaurant, bar or an entertainment venue.
