Ten Gigabit Adelaide

With South Australia poised to become the nation’s fastest-growing economy this financial year and with historic peaks in confidence across the property sector, Ten Gigabit Adelaide is positioning itself as one of the key drivers for growth in the Adelaide CBD.

Leading IT services provider Datacom is the latest company to make the move into the CBD to take advantage of the city’s high-speed fibre optic data network. The company is relocating its Findon office to new premises in Franklin Street in July this year.

Lord Mayor Martin Haese said he was delighted Ten Gigabit Adelaide has played a part in their move.

“It is great news that Ten Gigabit Adelaide is one of the reasons why Datacom is setting up its office in Franklin Street in the heart of the CBD,” said the Lord Mayor.

“Businesses like Datacom that employ hundreds of knowledge workers in areas including software and technology services are precisely who we are targeting with Ten Gigabit Adelaide.”

“I urge all CBD property owners to register their building to be connected to this transformational network – there is absolute no cost to building owners and it will make your building more appealing to not only large, data-reliant companies but virtually all businesses that want fast, secured connectivity.”

The move follows the announcement of Nexion Networks who has also committed to expanding their business in Adelaide. The IT provider is planning to shift the company Directors and Head Office to Adelaide to make the most of the high-speed and high-quality data connection.

“NEXION Networks are a unique and fast-growing ICT company and see Adelaide and the Ten Gigabit Adelaide rollout as the bedrock for our growth,” said Paul Glass, Managing Director of NEXION Networks.

“We believe that the opportunity to create a young and passionate workforce in Adelaide, in areas of IT Security, Innovation, Cloud Applications, Smart Cities and IoT is phenomenal.”

Mr Glass stressed the beauty of this scheme was not simply the innovative thinking of the City of Adelaide.

“South Australia is one of the top most liveable cities in the world and we will grow our organisation around the support of the City Council and TPG and create a new global leading technology centre using this initiative. We are focussed not only on technology innovation but the people within our organisation and the community our solutions affect. Adelaide is an amazing city, with amazing people and a community spirit that will foster growth. The Ten Gigabit Adelaide journey is one shared and the success that will come, will be felt by all.”
