Symmetra – international diversity & inclusion consultancy provides innovative online learning for property companies in Australia

Support for diversity makes a powerful difference.

The Property Council of Australia has partnered with Symmetra, a diversity and inclusion consultancy, to embed and sustain inclusive behaviour across the industry through use of their innovative technology.

Symmetra was founded in 2003 (then named Diversity Consulting) by Heather Price, whose unique skills and experience were acquired in launching one of the first and most influential diversity consultancies in post-apartheid South Africa.

After relocating to Sydney, Heather built a dynamic team of multidisciplinary consultants to design and deliver a range of cutting-edge diversity and inclusion products and services.

Through its dedicated and passionate consultants, commitment to service excellence and continuously evolving and innovative approach, Symmetra quickly became the premier name in diversity and inclusion in the Asia Pacific Region.

The Property Council has launched an online portal created by Symmetra to provide an easy way for the property industry to gauge their diversity performance and strive for improvement.

The portal provides a simple to use interface that gamifies the online process and provides an additional channel to drive the Property Council’s diversity agenda.

  • Symmetra’s E Challenge provides gamified e learning, that’s fun, that keeps your finger on the pulse and that has content built by inclusion experts.
  • Learning comes in small 10 minute bytes and can collect substantial amounts of data from the learner to generate insights that inform strategy on diversity and inclusion in your organisation.

“The diversity portal signifies another channel the property industry can use to ensure diversity is top of mind within the industry and we achieve real change” Property Council NSW Executive Director Jane Fitzgerald said today.

“The portal provides the opportunity to compete against work colleagues and uncover some of the unconscious bias that can sometimes exist in workplaces.”
