Sydney CBD light rail construction begins 4 October

The beginning of light rail construction in Sydney’s CBD is just a couple of days away, commencing this Sunday, 4 October 2015.

There will be changes to bus stops, routes and timetables. To make sure you are prepared you can use the trip planner, call 131 0 or the new interactive bus route planner.

A Travel Choices Program has been launched to help businesses and employees develop effective travel plans through the period of CBD construction and into the future. The program’s aim is to reduce peak hour car travel by asking drivers to ‘re-route, re-mode or re-time’ their journeys.

For more information to assist freight and delivery drivers locate loading zones click here. Where possible it is recommended that drivers avoid the city centre. With changed traffic priorities there will be fewer loading zone spaces in the CBD.  Drivers are encouraged to consider the use of alternate parking options and to allow additional time for their journey.
