Survey Approvals Online and the linkages to Planning and Land Title Office The Department has been working on the development of the Survey Approvals Online (SAO) system for the last 12 months. The first stage of the SAO is now live. This release covers the allocation of survey data, creation of parcel numbers and survey reference numbers.Kevin Dodd remarked that the online system works well and this feedback was well received. The SAO system identifies related data in ILIS and links Development Permits for subdivisions to the survey data. This has the impact of improving the efficiency of the development process and reducing the multiple times parcel information and data is captured and re-entered throughout the process. Once the developer enters the parcel information in a Development Application, this data will be picked up by the system and used to populate information in the required areas until the release of Titles at the Land Titles Office. Stage two is planned for release in mid-2016.
