Sunshine Coast’s new decade of opportunity

The final Property Council Sunshine Coast lunch for 2019 saw a sold-out crowd hear about the opportunities the new decade will present for the region’s property sector.

Property professionals from around the Sunshine Coast converged on The Lakehouse at Brightwater, on Wednesday 13 November, to hear Mayor Mark Jamieson provide a keynote presentation outlining the major projects being undertaken by Council and the broader strategy underpinning Sunshine Coast’s approach to developing a diverse local economy.

Following the Mayor’s presentation, RPS’ Brad Williams moderated a panel discussion with Adrian Allen, Regional Manager – Northern Region – Stockland, Antonio Tolo – General Manager Property – Sunshine Coast Airport, Jason Van Paassen – Manager Transport Planning Logistics & Analytic (Qld/NT) at SMEC and Alison Quinn, Director – SunCentral Maroochydore.

The wide-ranging discussion covered topics such as the Maroochydore CBD, the broadband cable and the region’s next generation of infrastructure, growth and planning challenges.

The Property Council would like to thank the speakers for sharing the insights with our Sunshine Coast members and guests, and Rider Levett Bucknall for their sponsorship of the lunch.
