SUBMISSIONS OPEN: REDLAND COASTAL HAZARD ADAPTATION STRATEGY
Redland City Council is seeking formal submissions on its draft Coastal Hazard Adaptation Strategy (CHAS) up until December 18, 2020.
The strategy is part of Council’s long-term plan to manage the impact of storm events which may result in erosion and flooding in certain areas.
In particular, the strategy seeks to:
- identify coastal hazard areas
- understand vulnerabilities and risks to a range of assets and values
- engage with the community to understand their preferred approach to adaptation
- determine the costs, priorities, and timeframes for their implementation.
