Consultation paper on more standardized residence contracts in Queensland Retirement Villages

The Property Council has provided a submission to the State Government regarding standardized residence contracts in Queensland Retirement Villages. The submission noted that many key issues can be addressed by not imposing restrictions on material breach.

Minimum Standards for budgeting and financial reporting in Queensland Retirement Villages

The Property Council has provided a submission to the State Government regarding a draft regulation for budgeting and financial reporting in retirement villages in Queensland. While supportive of the intent to improve transparency and to make it easier to understand for residents, the Property Council has provided some key recommendations on areas of the regulation to reduce administration costs and allow flexibility for more detailed information if requested by a resident.

Sunshine Coast Mass Transit Draft Options Analysis

The Property Council has provided a submission to Sunshine Coast Council to provide feedback into the draft options analysis for the Sunshine Coast Mass Transit Strategy. As the region undergoes a massive period of growth, the Property Council is supportive of Council’s initiative to explore a transit system and integration with the region’s planning scheme.

The Property Council has provided a submission to Gold Coast City Council to provide industry feedback on the Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads Draft Neighbourhood Framework. The Property Council is supportive of the draft framework to take advantage of the ShapingSEQ growth benchmarks. As the Gold Coast regions continues to grow, it is important that a clear strategy is put in place to provide industry with confidence to invest and contribute to Council’s vision for the corridor.
