STRATA REFORM SUCCESS EDGES CLOSER

The new Strata Titles and Community Titles Bills will be debated in the Upper House in the coming weeks.

WA Property Council Executive Director, Sandra Brewer and Deputy Executive Director, Emma Thunder met with Hon. Donna Faragher MLC, former Minister for Planning, to discuss the details of the Bills and the benefits they will bring.

Property Council has also met with David Honey MLA, to discuss our differences and advocate strongly for the smooth passage of the Bills.

Community Titles will allow industry to create new and vibrant developments with a mix of uses in one building. Residents will gain from having commercial, community and retail facilities on-site, and will also be better off under the improved strata management arrangements this legislation will deliver.

The Property Council strongly supports the timely passage of this legislation and will continue to advocate for its implementation as soon as possible.
