State of Play: Retirement Living

The Property Council hosted two retirement living briefings at MinterEllison. Attendees heard from an expert panel that included Kim Teudt – General Manager Bolton Clarke and Chair of Queensland Retirement Living Committee, Brett Robinson Chief Executive Officer RetireAustralia, and Tammy Berghofer Special Council MinterEllison. 

Ben Myers – Executive Director of Retirement Living for the Property Council delivered the keynote presentation and spoke on the panel. 

Together the panel examined how the Retirement Living Sector had fared during the COVID crisis. Panellists were in agreeance that there was still a lack of Government engagement with the sector. Despite this the retirement living sector had fared well in 2020 without a single COVID case in any retirement living villages.
