The Property Council, in partnership with BSI Australia, established the Lifemark Village Scheme to enable retirement living providers to assure the quality of their facilities, services and staff against industry developed standards. Strong, independent and robust standards give more people the peace of mind to choose retirement living. As part of the Lifemark process, BSI has now also developed a one day off-site Gap Audit to help prepare retirement villages and operators for accreditation. BSI’s expert auditors will provide a detailed report, identifying areas where more work is required to meet the Lifemark standards. The cost of the Gap Audit will be credited to operators’ future Lifemark accreditation, meaning no additional costs for accredited organisations.
