South West Rail Link opens 8 February 2015The South West Rail Link is due to open to customers on 8 February 2015, a year ahead of schedule and $300 million under budget. This follows more than three years of major construction and months of testing.Trains on the South West Rail Link will run from 5am to midnight and run every 30 minutes between Liverpool to Leppington, stopping at Edmondson Park and Glenfield. The journey will take around 15 minutes in each direction. Service frequency is expected to increase as the region expands.Along with 1,2 new free, untimed parking spaces, kiss and ride zones, footpaths and bicycle parking, a total of 897 weekly bus services will operate to the two new stations at Leppington and Edmondson Park.The Property Council has always championed the South West Rail Link as vital to harnessing the economic potential of Western Sydney.To read the media release click here.
