South Bank Master Plan
A new South Bank master plan will be developed by the Queensland Government and the South Bank Corporation, intended to shape the future of the South Bank precinct over the next 30 years.
The new master plan is expected to take two years to develop and will be informed by public and stakeholder consultation, via the Future South Bank website.
The 42-hectare, urban and cultural precinct contains a mix of commercial, educational and recreational locations. Last year, South Bank attracted 14 million visitors and created more than 8000 jobs, contributing $906 million in gross regional product for the State.
The Property Council will continue to work with Government, key stakeholders and the community to ensure that industry is involved in the redevelopment of the precinct, and the destination maintains its enviable, cultural and iconic reputation.
The community is encouraged to provide feedback via the Future South Bank website.
