The Property Council is asking for feedback from members on the key opportunities that will help Queensland leverage the momentum of the 2032 Olympic Games.
Seizing the Olympic Opportunity identifies the key areas where the property sector can contribute to the success of the Olympic Games to ensure the Games leaves a positive and lasting legacy for South-East Queensland.
The property sector will play a vital role in the construction, urban renewal, and legacy building that will result from the Games. As such the property industry would welcome:
- A clear and concise vision for the Games and its legacy, to steer the overall strategy
- A long-term placemaking legacy for the region
- Maximizing the extended 11-year lead in time for the games to implement best practice governance arrangements
